After Aligning or hardening or regrinding any crankshaft a crack detection test is essential





Still hard? Inductive or flame hardened shafts

Sufficient hardness depth is available on crankshafts to enable grinding to al undersizegrades without rehardening, unless the journal has been softened by overheating. Nitrided shafts must, however, always be retreated.
