Lubricating oil pressure too high

Cause   Correction
Malfunctioning
pressure switch/gage
Verify
the pressure switch is functioning correctly.
   
Engine
running too cold
Refer
to Troubleshooting Logic for coolant temperature below normal.
   
Oil
viscosity too thick
Make
sure the correct oil is being used.
   
Relief
valve stuck closed
Check/replace
valve.
   
If
replaced, six cylinder lube pump, installed in four cylinder
Verify
that the correct pump is installed.
