Coolant temperature below normal

Cause   Correction
Too
much air flow across the radiator
Check/repair
shutters, fan clutch, viscous fan as required.
   
Incorrect
thermostat, broken thermostat jiggle pin or contamination in thermostat
Check/replace
thermostat.
   
Temperature
sensor or age malfunctioning
Verify
that the gage and sensor are accurate.
   
Coolant
not flowing by temperature sensor
Check/clean
coolant passages.
